Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 2026
KnobbyTalk is a community for dirt bike riders of all skill levels. These rules exist to keep it a useful, welcoming place. They're short — please read them.
What this place is for
- Asking and answering questions about dirt bikes, maintenance, setup, and riding
- Sharing ride reports, trail tips, and track reviews
- Connecting with local riders through the Rider Finder
- Submitting tracks and riding areas to help the community find places to ride
What's not allowed
- Harassment or personal attacks. Disagreeing is fine. Being a jerk about it is not.
- Spam or self-promotion. Don't post ads, referral links, or repetitive promotional content.
- Illegal content. No discussion or sharing of illegal activities, stolen parts, or counterfeit products.
- Sharing others' personal information. Don't post someone else's address, phone number, or other private details without their consent.
- Off-topic flooding. Keep it dirt bike related. General off-topic posts belong in the Off-Topic category.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade a ban or manipulate upvotes.
Enforcement
Admins can remove posts, lock threads, and ban accounts that violate these guidelines. We'll use common sense — a first offense for something minor gets a warning, repeated or serious violations result in a ban.
If you see a post that violates these rules, report it by contacting an admin through the forum or emailing support@knobbytalk.com.
The spirit of it
Most people here just want to ride and help each other out. If you're posting something and you're not sure if it's ok — ask yourself if you'd say it at the trailhead. If yes, you're probably fine.
